Fall 2024 - Air Show and Florida Trip
We started another extended RV trip on 26 October 2024. We planned the trip around the Navy's Blue Angels homecoming show at the Pensacola Naval Air Station, with a stop at Roland Cooper State Park in Camden, Alabama. The Air Force Thunderbirds joined the show, so we got to see both flight demonstration teams. We continued our trip across the panhandle of Florida, stopping in Tallahassee for a few days before traveling to North Beach Camping Resort in St. Augustine, Florida. North Beach is one of our favorite campgrounds, with campsites secluded by palmettos. Next, we traveled down the East Coast to Melbourne for a visit to the Kennedy Space Center. Then we crossed the state again to spend a week in Tampa before traveling to the Ocala area to spend Thanksgiving with Ron's dad and sister. We returned home through Marianna, Florida, and Birmingham, Alabama, arriving home on 2 December 2024.
