The Harvest Festival
There's a small museum near Santa Fe that tries to capture New Mexico life
as it was several hundred years ago. This small Spanish farm village
holds a Harvest Festival every fall. Here we see Candace learning
to spin wool into yarn for weaving.
There's lots to see at the Harvest Festival. Here a mule powered
press squeezes the juice out of sargum for molasses.
After the juice is squeezed out of the sargum. it is boiled down to make
molasses in a process similar to the Proctor family
Syrup
Sopping.
