Ron Hackett began his scouting career as a Cub Scout at the tender age of 8 years old. He earned is Bobcat, Wolf, and Bear awards before moving on to Webelos.
After a brief hiatus from scouting, he rejoined the organization as a member of the
Boy
Scouts of America (BSA)
Troop 242 in Lake Mary, Florida, which is in the Central Florida Council,
St Johns District.
Ron was inducted into the Order of the Arrow, Scouting's honor society for campers, on 31 December 1973, and became a member of the Tipisa Lodge.
Ron earned the rank of Eagle Scout on 1 November 1972. Judge Dominick Salfi presided over the Eagle Court of Honor.
